Two-fold sofa bed mechanism with a quick opening system. The Otello Alto Slats model is a traditional alternative to the sleeping surface with electro-welded panels. The straps in the seat ensure comfortable sofa seating. The 30 mm tubular structure and high-resistance linkages guarantee solidity and reliability. The mechanism has obtained CATAS CERTIFICATION: Vertical fatigue strength - Vertical static load EN 1725:1998; Mechanism durability test EN 13759:2012; Seat-back fatigue strength EN 1728:2012+AC:2013;
- TUBES. The mechanism is made of round, square, and rectangular profiled tubes in DC01 steel, welded and calibrated, produced according to EN 10305-3 standard, for furniture use, in various sections 20x20, 20x10, from Ø16 to Ø30 and thicknesses from 1.2 to 1.35 mm.
- LEVERS. The levers that make up the mechanism are made of pickled DD11 steel, free of surface irregularities, mechanically stamped. Thickness is 4.5 mm, steel produced according to UNI EN 10204 and 10111 standards.
- SPRINGS. The springs used are extension springs of various sizes, made of silicon spring steel with high carbon content and high yield strength. Finish: white galvanized or black burnished. Standard UNI EN ISO 13906.
- SLATTED BED BASE. The sleeping surface ensures continuity between the three different panels that compose it and are supported by seven steel tubes Ø25, Ø30. The slats are 160 mm wide, of variable length, and 12 mm thick. They are shaped and fixed to the tubular frame with a pair of high-resistance PVC supports.
- STRAP SEATING. The sofa seat corresponds to the end section of the bed base and is made with elastic straps. These have variable length, 50 mm width, made of 55% polypropylene fibers and 45% natural rubber. Softer and more comfortable seating.
- PAINTING. The finish is Metallic Gunmetal color, made with thermosetting powder based on epoxy and polyester resins. Oven-cured at 280°, it has a glossy decorative effect and mechanical resistance to scratches and abrasion. The mechanism has obtained the SALT SPRAY RESISTANCE TEST certification ISO 9227:2017. The coating is intended for indoor use.
